What's the one thing you wish someone had told you before moving to Türkiye?

I'll go first. Mine is the phone trap: nobody warns you that your foreign phone dies on Turkish networks after 120 days unless you pay the IMEI fee — which is 54,258 TL this year. I watched a friend learn that the hard way, mid-move, with no working phone and no idea why. If I could go back, I'd have just bought a cheap Turkish phone on day one.
