Beware of shoe brush scams near Sultanahmet

An old man near the Blue Mosque will 'accidentally' drop his shoe brush in front of you, then insist on cleaning your shoes, then demand a large payment. Just say 'hayır teşekkürler' and walk away. Same scam operates near Galata Bridge.
