A dedicated home for foreigners settling in Türkiye — questions that stay answered, dated field reports from the offices, and the people who live around you. Small on purpose, honest by rule, built by someone who has answered these questions for 35 years.

We are in the founding era: it is quiet, the standards are high, and the people who show up now shape what this becomes. “Founding member” just means you got here early — it’s a free community membership, not a stake in the company (there’s one founder, the person who built this). Why another community? Because the ones you’re in don’t work.

Every foreigner in Türkiye lives in three or four giant Facebook groups. We’ve spent years in them too — answering the same questions, watching the same scams. The problems aren’t the members. They’re the platform.

Unsearchable by design
The same visa question gets asked — and half-answered — every single week, because last month's 200-comment thread is unfindable. Knowledge dies in the scroll.
Scammers work the comments
Fake rentals, 'cheap IMEI registration', currency mules — they operate in DMs off public groups precisely because nobody verifies anything.
The algorithm decides what you see
You joined for permit help; you get engagement bait. Admin fiefdoms, arbitrary deletions, and zero structure are the price of a free group.
Everyone and no one
Tens of thousands of members, few of whom live in your neighborhood or share your permit situation. Scale without relevance is noise.

Ask once, and the answer stays findable — by the next person here and by search. A clearly labelled AI answer arrives first so no question sits in silence; people who have done it follow.
Field reports from the offices
Which office, which day, what they asked for, how long it took, how it went. Dated first-hand reports — the thing no rulebook and no AI can tell you about next week's appointment.
Meet your neighbours
Say hello, tag where you live, follow people, message them. Kadıköy questions find Kadıköy people through neighbourhood tags.
Official figures under the fees we track
When a post or answer quotes a number on phone (IMEI) registration, the permit card fee, the income bar, overstay, rent increases or paying rent in cash, the official figure appears under it with its source and the date. You compare; nobody gets shamed.
Moderated before it's public
Obvious spam — link farms, crypto and betting lures — is held automatically before anyone sees it and waits for the founder's review. Every post has a report button.
Newest first, no ads
The feed opens newest-first. Nothing is sold in it and nobody pays to be seen.
